This was a very interesting read. I enjoyed it. I looked over the case, and it didn’t necessarily say that there is no DDA in the game. They just did not provide enough proof. This is basically what it boiled down to.  

EA denied these claims, stating that they do not use DDA and that any perceived difficulty fluctuations are simply due to the game's mechanics and player skill levels. 

Following EA's public statements and evidence, the plaintiffs decided to drop the lawsuit, signifying that they did not have enough evidence to proceed further. 

now this does not prove by any means that there’s no DDA in the game. Once again it only was dropped because these three individuals did not provide enough proof.

O.J. Simpson didn't murder someone because the police department fouled up the investigation. The logic that won the trial had nothing to do with the logic of the facts that seemed readily evident.

EA can't fix the bugs in its game. When they whack down one, it comes back from the dead in a later iteration. No one can tell me EA knows there's no DDA in the game, because they clearly have no idea what's in the game.

They do in in the real nfl too. "Parity" they do it by changing rules and telling refs what to call or when. I dont like it there either. But i hate it more in a video game that constantly begs you for more money and is done far more nefariously.

And my point was that the game is coded to offer varying degrees of difficulty. Its quite literally 'in the game'. As a User, you can choose how hard you want it to be and by that I mean you can set it so that the D you face plays better, is faster, covers better, run stuffs better etc etc etc and that your O is less effective - players drop passes, runners are slow, O-Line blocks for shit etc etc etc. 

I think we can both agree that the game can and does implement those settings itself. Play any of those tortuous Epic Challenges or set Solo Battles to All Madden and tell me otherwise. That you seem to honestly believe the game can't implement those same settings in games against other Users to make it more 'entertaining' is just naive. Its a GAME. By definition, everything that happens in it is predetermined.

Just type in EA DDA lawsuit and you will find multiple links to everything you want to see. Btw if you think solo battles on all madden are hard that tells me everything I need to know. People that are average at the game and can’t win are the people saying DDA exists. If you can’t find what youre looking for on google I will help you.

What else do you want? They talked with all of the engineers that work on the game and the engineers even gave the court the coding to how DDA could be implemented and then they tried to find that coding in the game and couldn’t find anything. I seriously don’t know what else anyone could want as proof. I feel like if it was in the game something concrete would have been brought up by now. Thousands of people play this game. It’s all hearsay by a bunch of angry gamers that don’t like losing.

DDA is 1000% a thing, I have reached a point where no matter who I put on defense they play with 0OVR Pursuit, 0 Awareness, and 0 Play Rec. They literally just stand there. I won probably a million games in a row before this happened and was top 20. Now my defense literally just wont play no matter what I do. My user is the only player playing, and I even lose control of my user on half the plays in the game and they just dumb out too.

bro, they are probably just calling it something else. it is obviously in the games. if you go into the settings there is sliders and there is individual sliders for each team, and you can adjust how the cpu plays vs how the user plays, and there is even an even teams setting. 

It doesn't matter what you call it, it's blatantly obvious in most the games I play.

if it so obvious in most games you play don’t you think other people would of been able to come up with something concrete enough to challenge ea in court? Everyone says the same thing, it’s all hearsay. It’s not DDA it’s just a poorly made game were things go wrong for both players at random times. I just don’t believe it until I see something legit. You can think it’s in the game if you want, i respect that.

Because spending a ton of money to challenge it in court wouldn't be worth it - so no one does it

The pros - you can to sign on to a videogame message board and prove to all the nay sayers that there was DDA

The cons - you lose well over $100k in legal fees

Maybe Elon Musk might play Madden one day, then we would finally have someone with the resources and motivation to challenge EA's obvious DDA
