Played I guy who shut down my maxed out Hines with 80 Cromartie in man. What adjustments was he making?
maybe to more sharp routes or making someone else distract him and make him follow someone else is what I do

There are no magical adjustments for people to play perfect man coverage. But it is helpful to know which style of man coverage your opponent was running (Cover 0, Cover 1, Cover 2 Man)
Cover 0 is going to naturally shade his defenders to the inside so out breaking routes are more effective.
Cover 1 is a hybrid where defenders inside the numbers shade outside and defenders outside the numbers shade inside. So depending on if you're attacking with slot receivers, or outside receivers, your routes to attack with could look different.
Cover 2 man is probably the hardest for most people to attack because the defenders are shaded underneath in a trail technique. This can leave them vulnerable to deeper passes though, especially if they are moving their safeties.
In general, here are some routes that do a pretty good job against most man coverage:
- Curls
- Comebacks
- Multiple Crossing Routes Underneath (two drags/two slants/etc.)
- Whips/Zigs
- Speed Outs (even better if you custom stem them up to 10 or 15 yards)
