Take: having a lot of coins is less enjoyable then little coins

Just to get it out of the way 

I have a lot of coins since I got a total of 125$ of madden points on from Christmas 

I know some of y’all gonna be commenting BS about it, just so you know, that’s not my point 

having a lot of coins just kinda makes the game less fun for you 

it’ll be more fun if you earn your cards, earn your coins. Not spending money 

I have 8 million coins which is double then the most I’ve had ever AND I have a solid team, last year I had 4.5 million coins but a full BND team at one point 

I just feel like it will just be more enjoyable to earn your cards, earn your coins, not just spend money to potentially get the amount of coins or cards you want 

and I feel like I can get basically anyone I want, I just don’t think that’s fun IMO

It’s a balance I think. I have a decent team, kinda went all out for ZC and now trying to get my stack back up. im sitting at 7 mil with a handful of limiteds still in my lineup but want to convert those to NAT before they tank. Come golden ticket time, I love having tons of coins so I can buy the GT’s on the day they drop.

In a month those coins will go quick if sb promo is anything like last year. The thing is now that zerochill is over not much to spend coins on.

I consider it to be a balance - I want to have enough coins to get the items I want, when I want them but I play the game to play, not earn coins. 

I tend to over spend for items because I want them right away but at the same time I have a value in my head of what a particular item is worth and won't exceed that.

What I typically do is have an "operating budget" of about 1M coins earned through playing, auctions, etc.  then hold any item that quicksells for coins.  Keeping the quicksell items in my binder makes me less likely to over spend.  

At this moment I have 824K in coins (mostly from the snow conversion) amd about 4.9M in quicksells in my binder.

I run a Patriots theme team and as such I only add players that fit my team - and not even all of them - for example I don't have Fred Taylor, Mike Gesicki or any of the OOP cards.  Nor do I have the "32 team chem" cards including team captains.  The only deviation is I have a lineup for promos that require program cards for certain objectives.  

I also keep two Patriots lineups - one that I just current rostered players and another that is my "primary" which is a mix of current and past players.

But the more coins you have, the more you can do. Rerolls, sets, invest, how is it not fun?

not to say you couldn’t have a point, but tbh I didn’t even read this and the answer is no regardless. I never have a lot of coins at one time, it’s pretty rare if I ever have more than like 400k at one time. Pretty much every coin i get goes to some upgrade. If I had millions of coins I’d have the best team I could get and i would enjoy it a lot more. 

im not even sure how people get millions of coins. I’m guessing by spending way more time on the AH than I’m willing to

I've been yoloing a lot this year so my stack has been a good amount smaller. I've had more fun this year playing with the crazy $$$ cards.

I earned my coins, but it's not fun to spend hours over time playing MUT Menus.

8 million coins is broke this year.  I have 45m and I feel like I need to make shrewd moves.

my first year of mut, reached 10m total value and thought i was good for the rest of the year, then you see a card like jamo drop and it's like ok. ea doing too much trying to manipulate the market though
