OP with this boomer ass post. Let the kids have their fun celebrating. You want to stop the celebration, stop their asses from getting in the endzone. You can't celebrate when I'm picking all your passes off, forcing fumbles, and putting chew clock on to run the game out after you're down by two or three scores. :-)

Lmfao
Ugh, the Madden community (and probably most other online gaming communities I guess) have such small dick energy.
Finding pleasure in being a dick to another random person just because - or even as a “strategy” - is sad. IMO.
Bunch of babies complaining about virtual players dancing lmao😂😂
you dont Like it don’t give em reasons to or go play solos then it’s a game how you gonna tell someone who paid for this game how to play it.
If their was a T bag celebration I would much rather prefer doing that then dancing
colbyzg said:To the folks defending the dancing because it's how you like to play the game, I have a question or two.
Do you get angry when your opponent takes max time to pick a play? Does it bother you when they take the play clock down to the 1 even if the game clock is stopped? Do you get annoyed when they pick a play one second before the quarter ends/two min warning? What about glitch plays? Using your logic, nearly all behavior is acceptable if one party enjoys it.
If you answered yes to any of these then you should be able to see the other side's viewpoint. Celebrating might make you feel peachy, but it bothers others, wastes time, and generally feels like you're just being a dick to be a dick, similar to the above behavior. These things are amplified in 1v1 modes because they feel more personal.
Personally, all I hope for is an entertaining game with both sides being decent human beings to each other, but that's getting more and more rare as time goes on. IMO, EA should add some positive shit like a "nice play" animation, or "damn, you lurked the shit out of me!" - the fact that the only communication in-game (off mic) is negativity is a little ridiculous (again, IMO). Sorry for all the words.
Pretty damn well put.

But ESPECIALLY in a video game with plenty of unskippable broken animations, dont add to it. Please. *Coach kline "please!"
I get your point but there is nothing funnier than celebrating to a trash talker it makes the game competitive sometimes not all the time some people are annoying

I'm 100% super mega onboard with returning fire. And it's not a healthy reaction, I admit. BUT, if you're going to act like a cocky asshole first and you can't back it up, I'll go a little ham...

Agreed again. Even i do it, especially for the ones who literally wait for the whole lile 15 seconds or whatever to play out. I will celebrate everytjme possible after that. Like you said its not healthy, but it is what it is. Also to be clear, i really dont mind if they do the celebration and move on after it starts (it still plays in the background anyway) its when they legit sit there and wait for the whole thing just to be an ass that pisses me off.
Oh and another thing, if EA actually put some effort into putting more new and creative celebrations into the game and people could customize them etc, MAAAAYBE it wouldnt be AS bad. But its the same boring stock 4 or 5 robotic looking garbage. Just cut the crap lol

it’s a competitive game. Competition is both physical and psychological. The attitude in this post is exactly why I celebrate and fuck around. It is SO easy to get into people’s heads. Also, you’re kind of missing the point of messing with people’s heads. It’s not to push people to quit. It’s to shake your confidence and/or throw you off your game. A quit is a bonus.
And the flip side is, if they’re strong mentally, they mess around back and we have a good time because it is a GAME and who fuckin cares who beats who.
It seems like there is a mental deficiency here, and it’s not the kid who taps a button to make his player wiggle in a way that you don’t like.
Who put cheerios in your bowl of piss?

Pressing a button trigger an annoying celebration we all have seen millions of times shakes exactly ZERO peoples confidence. I promise you that. You do it to be annoying and justify it by when people quit to avoid your childish nonsense you got a "win" in a "competitive" game. The game is all rng, glitches, and exploits. No one in the top 100 is actually good. Deal with it.
And yes, i win most of my games, this is not sour grapes.

Not to pile on, but i'd like to say/echo that you are probably siignificantly overestimating the affect you're having on people. I don't even look up from my phone when someone has just score on me. It doesn't faze me anymore. It just makes me wonder what kind of shitty life this person has where they need to shit on random people to feel good.

Lets say I play a game, celebrate and mess around, and the other player doesn’t get mad. They just do the same stuff back to me and it’s a fun time.
Lets say I play another game, I celebrate and mess around, and the player gets angry and says nasty things about my madden ability, my intelligence, and my mom.
I play the exact same way both games. What was the difference? Maturity of the person I’m playing.
One allowed his feelies to get hurt by a video game. The other makes the best of what is around and doesn’t go on a forum hours after the fact to try to bully the world into acting the way he thinks it should.
You should probably stop caring so much or get good enough that no one will ever have a reason to celebrate. Otherwise you’re going to make yourself and everyone around you miserable.
That said, if you want to keep being angry at the wrong things and complaining them all the time, you can do that too. I’m not your dad.
