For all of you who claim it doesn’t happen I was jus dogging this kid on pc and next thing you know my Xbox powers off weird the extent people will go for a virtual football game
Exactly what you described has happened to me a lot recently. My Xbox will freeze and shut down completely.
I don’t think it’s cheaters though, because it’s happened to me in multiple games as well as just searching the menus and AH.
it's the connection to the server
i promise a real hacker got better things to do than suck at madden

If yer actual console is powering itself down, chances are it's getting a bit older and may be filled with dust, debris and dirt that could potentially be clogging up the heatsink and fans and causing the device(s) to overheat. I do not have any first-hand knowledge or experience with the Xbox platform, but I can say my son's OG (Disc Edition) PS5 console has been experiencing this a LOT lately. Became such a source of frustration we finally just upgraded him to a PS5 Pro.
YMMV, but no "hackers" have the ability to power down your console. I would encourage anyone dealing with this to refer to Micro$oft's suggested troubleshooting methods: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/console/console-turns-off-unexpectedly
Or feel free to ping me directly, i'll do my best to provide general tech support. Typically this requires a screwdriver and a vacuum (or compressed air).
Don't DIY electronics if you have a valid warranty, but for everything else....
If you're staring at a brick, you might as well open it up and see if you can diagnose what's going on. For my old PS2, it was accumulated dust interfering with the lens on the DVD laser. If you hear the fan ramping up on your PS5 more frequently than in former days, cleaning out the dust now can greatly extend the life of your console. Heat kills consoles, and dirty electrical utilities or power surges can also take the life out of your product.

Lucky Kid. How is the PS5 Pro? Noticed any difference in any of the game's performances to this point?
Reason: I can't type today apparently
I have a Xbox series s and I’ve had it maybe two or three years
Whenever my ps5 shuts off I know it’s time to go grab the can of Duster and spray out all the husky hair from the HD vent
also could be a storage issue. Delete some unused crap and clean it off you’ll notice a smoother ride
I think thats a known issue for xbox series x as people mentioned above. Lots of dust build up.
Thanks for the info I’ll get it checked out

I actually just got it set up and plugged in yesterday. Santa arrived a bit late this year, oof -- he's happy that NBA2K is no longer powering down and he can jam out with his friends. They've been staying up so late, i honestly haven't even used the console yet. Basketball season is starting soon (this weekend), so i'm sure i'll find time while little man is busy with his grind.
I will definitely keep you posted. I wasn't convinced there'd be any meaningful difference, but between Fortnite, Spiderman 2 (Miles Morales) he seemed to notice all the reflections (ray-tracing) almost immediately. We'll see if my old eyes are able to notice. I doubt there's any 120Hz mode for Madden 25, despite it being on the list of "Enhanced" games at launch.
