Finally going back to H2H after playing only Mutmas mode last 2 weeks

And it is brutal

Ran gunslinger, fearless and pass lead elite on Josh Allen

He misses half his throws

Can basically only hit streaks

Slants, corner routes, zig routes...he throws way wide.

And its a shame because when I do get the ball to Kittle or Megatron, they play great...run great routes

Also Shaun Alexander is amazing

The reason he is missing throws is due to gunslinger. Its been a problem all year. He does the same for me on all routes.

He was terrible for me. After a few games I had to get rid of him.

Facts.  All QBs equipped with Gunslinger will make random overthrows, but it's still basically a requirement, IMO.  Nothing matters more than getting the ball out quickly.  Fearless is kind of a waste of AP, at least until we start seeing a bunch of ETE or Under Pressure on pass rushers.  The random overthrows aren't due to the fact you're getting pressure... at least not based on my own experience.

I've been running true god/quad stack on Winter Hero (5AP), basically zero compromises:

• Gunslinger
• Gift-Wrapped
• Pass Lead Elite
• Master Tactician

And you still have 1AP to invest elsewhere, maybe drop a 1AP Tank on Calvin Johnson if yer feeling sassy, or a Balance Beam on yer HB.  I wasn't sure i'd find a better workhorse than Shaun Alexander, but OOOH doggie has Darren McFadden been incredible.  I'm actually using the bonus 1AP on his Steamroller X-factor at the moment, trying to see if I can get it lit up, or if it even reliably does anything.

Tbh, getting the ball out fast is important but it's useless if every other throw is an overthrow. What QBs have good released without Gunslinger? I think i'm done with it

Glad yer enjoy that MUTmas Draft, but i invest so much time, effort and resources into building out my squad, that i want to use the players i'm tinkering with and playing virtual GM -- not a bunch of 80 OVRs and constantly trying to sub my WRs in at cornerback.  But surely that game mode has been ridiculously profitable for you, eh?  I choked out pretty hard, got a decent draft, won my first game... then second game i was never able to touch the ball in the second half.  Dude just clocked me, 3rd and 4th quarters and I couldn't shut it down.  That was the end of my brief time with MUT.  I was going to circle back and try to get 5 wins for the ZC Field Pass, but i think it's already max, so don't need it.

1. Josh Allen - Lower Three Quarters 2
2. Baker Mayfield - Three Quarters 5

Other really good (meaning fast) QB Release styles: 

• Three Quarters 4 - JJ McCarthy & Matthew Stafford, but after thinking I had scored Day 1 with his 85 OVR, it took me a few days to understand and fully realize how NOT normal his hot route adjustments were, they took forever. Great release, not great cards. 
• Three Quarters 1 - I think this is the old, tried and true "Trad4" from last year, the Lamar release (and Vick, Jayden Daniels, etc.)

I'm still trying to fully understand the differences this year, but overall ALL releases feel mostly usable, at least when compared with last year.

Above is my rough order, as I currently understand things, in order of my personal preferences. Try Baker, maybe go from there. I sold the Drake May present from Christmas before trying his uhhh Over the Top 7, I think. There's quite a few fairly unique release styles. 

Love to hear what works for you, especially without GS. Could always try PLE + MT on Josh Allen, with Gift-Wrapped, of course.

EDIT: can't recall which release the S2 Penix Jr. had, but I really enjoyed using that freebie, might be a good option to dive into practice mode for ~5 - 15 minutes of testing your new setup.

same for me. i might try him without gunslinger, he already has the fastest release in the game… might do side line dead eye because i like my zigs, corners and generally prefer side line tight windows to be accurate rather than inside the numbers

Outside dead eye is it for me. the same corners he always overthrew with gunslinger, are now replaced for perfect passes every time. 

he still gets the ball out super quick. Go inside dead eye if you throw more over the middle, sideline dead eye if you throw outside like me

So i bought redux Daniels and i'm trying him out. So far, his release isn't bad and he's hitting all the passes. No overthrows yet. His release isn't bad like i said but i feel like there are better releases out there without Gunslinger, i just need to find them. Allen is a bit too pricey for me right now, i spent a lot of coins for snow upgrades and stuff. I'm a 92 and my team is pretty decent so i'm just holding my coins. I'm gonna keep using Daniels and i'll see what happens. I was looking at Baker but i'm not sure how the release is.
