I consider myself pretty decent at the game. ive been winning games consistently on h2h. but the second i load up champs im playing people with a 90 ovr team who only runs cheese plays. Is their something meta that I might be missing?

Nope it's probably the pressure getting to you knowing there's rewards on the line. In legend tier I can go 5-0 easily and make superbowl just to choke but in mut champs I can't get past 8 wind and in gauntlet I've never won more than 4 games. Might be the pressure for you.

I can definitely see that, especially since I usually breeze by the first couple champs gsmes and then choke and end up winning 6-8

I've gotten to 15 wins and lost the final game twice now ...
