Never tried it and always turn it off no matter what game I'm playing.

When you play with PC people, you seem to get a lot of desyncs.  You can chalk that up to coincidence, or keep cross play off

That's weird you say that. I play on pc and when I play against console players it always seems to be a lag fest. So I play with it off as well. Xbox not so much. Ps those games are terrible.
