Unless you are playing Competitively in an MCS tournament where there are potentially tens of thousands of dollars at stake, the answer is always no.  There's not a single card worth 1-2M coins.  Yer almost always better off spending 250-300k on a small handful of cards that will improve your overall squad, versus trying to keep up with the Joneses chasing the latest and greatest theme teams, or LTDs.

Sure, speed kills -- it's one of the few stats in the game that makes a noticeable difference in gameplay, that is so obvious nearly anyone can benefit... but still not worth 2M+ coins.  Good luck, duder!

I'm NMS and agree with this completely. I get by fine with cards that have come along the way and barely even spent coins on anything. Sure I lose games to whales but usually that comes down to being outplayed more than anything else.
