Exactly.  I played with Luck for a while and his deep release was good.  According to the chart, it's one of the lower deep releases.  I moved to Allen now.   His chart #'s seem pretty accurate as his deep release is good, but his short release doesn't feel as fast as Luck.

THE best release in the entire game (bar none) is Traditional 1.  The second best deep ball release i guess would be Slinger 5, although i cannot think of any QBs off the top of my head with this.

Don't just take my word for it, the data i'm pulling is from this great MUTVault QB Styles chart.

For some reason the chart couldn’t be more wrong this year. According to the chart Slinger 6 is a good release, and trust me I’ve played with Stafford for a while (who has slinger 6). Even with gunslinger it could be the slowest release I’ve ever seen lmao.

Ah, alright. Cus I'm confused AF right now lol. I actually need to settle in on a #1 QB kind of just been using the free ones all year (Young, Vick, Baker, Manziel, Montana)

The chart is way off this year, but it's the only one of it's kind sadly. Best QBs right now are William Perry, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Andrew Luck, and CJ Stroud.

Can you explain this chart please?

Green is better / faster release, I believe in milliseconds. Data could be somewhat stale, but hasn't really changed at any point this year.

Certain QB style releases are better in certain areas of the field. For example, last year Slinger 1 was widely regarded as the best release for short to mid depth passes, but had a slow wind-up on deep passes. It has been nerfed slightly this year, but Slinger 1 is still decent. However, it struggles with on the run style throws.

The longer it takes to get the ball out, the more risk of taking a sack. Mahomes with Slinger 2 is notoriously bad with the weird hitch before the ball comes out. Anyone specific you're looking to add to the squad? Chart isn't super clear, please let me know further questions. I'm hardly an expert, but understand the basics and glad to try and help.

SO many people in this community invested a ton of time helping to teach me the game when I came back to Madden/MUT after a very long break. Trying to pay it forward. Hope something in my rambling is useful to you.

What's better slinger 1 or slinger 2. I'm starting to dislike TTAS Manziel and thinking about DD Mahomes

According to this chart, Traditional 4 scored very poorly and Traditional 1/2 and Generic 5/6 are the best. The one thing I do think is notable is that Traditional 2 and 4 and Generic 6 have the tightest dispersion. This would imply that they feel consistent vs having a wider dispersion where longer throws are much slower. My guess is that mentally, people judge a release based on the slowest range as that's the one that is problematic and dont appreciate a quicker release in shorter throw motion.
