That mode was amazing
I dont even really care about the rewards, it was nice to have a few 99 players on the field without abilties, so the playmakers stand out
Because it was always intended to be a limited time event mode to tie in with the draft promo. I believe the ingame description even said it would be leaving on 5/2.
It's a fun game mode but ultimately I doubt it made a significant amount of money for EA. At the end of the day, EA's primary goal for MUT is to make money. Unfortunately, providing a good gameplay experience doesn't seem to be their primary objective
