How important is Zone coverage on a MLB I would want to user?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I run a GB TT and saw that Edgerrin Cooper got a new draft card, and his stats are all pretty good aside from no abilities, and his zone is awful. I was wondering if this card is usable, especially it being May. His zone coverage is 64. (Sorry for weird color on the picture)

unfortunately most of the 95 draft cards aren't really useable since they do not get discounted abilities. If you want to user him every play no, his zone coverage doesn't matter. But the second you try to user someone else he's gonna be lost

If you’re just going to user him every single play, then it’s fine and you don’t need zone coverage. The one thing you should be concerned about is whether he has lurk or lurk artist otherwise he will not be making jump or interception animation that you need in order to make interceptions sometimes.
