I see a lot of people looking forward to this game and i understand why. College is probably more exciting than the NFL in a lot of ways so i see why people are excited.

My question is, why do people think it will be a good game? I guess there is some hope for the game if there is a different team working on it other than the MUT team but it's still an EA product and they always have the last say. I can't remember the last time EA made a good game that wasn't filled with bugs and glitches. Just wondering why people think NCAA will be so much different than Madden.

I guess if they focus more on gameplay and the actual season/franchise mode in the game it could work but that's not guaranteed since that isn't a moneymaker for EA. I'd be shocked if EA doesn't have some kind of game mode that allows people to spend money. Not sure if it will be as big as MUT but i'm sure they will figure something out. Personally i expect a copy and paste with some new graphics and animations. I just don't see the game completely changing and being better than Madden.

realistcally it’s not gonna be better than madden more Than likely is gonna be copy and paste especially since they’ve confirmed a UT mode in it but what I’m looking forward to (hopefully they don’t fuck it up) is dynasty and road to glory

Because I will play NCAA for dynasty reasons. I dont care if it has some kind of MUT thing.

People seem to forget that games 10-20-30 years ago had issues. And the bugs never got fixed. You got what you got and we still loved the games. Nowadays there's too many gamers who have been pampered with nerfs, buffs, patches. They think everything needs to be perfect or they complain.

I guess I'm just old school

Asking for a game to work is trying to get pampered? What the hell are you talking about?

I think you basically nailed it here, only thing i would add is that the desire for something new is almost certainly based on simple human nature; the grass is always greener type scenario.  Or people have just become willfully blind.  It's easier to bury one's head in the sand than it is to face the facts.  Sure, there is hopefully some fun to be had in these games, but overall, these are NOT good gaming experiences, let alone fair, balanced and competitive.  I highly doubt any kids will be clamoring for that Madden `24 experience in the 2040s, yet somehow there's still an incredibly strong and thriving classic / retro-gaming community, because those games remain fun to this very day.  I'm gonna chalk it up to new and different as the primary motivating factor... if not straight up delusion.  Anyone expecting anything but a copy/pasta experience will be in for a rude awakening, but even then, i'm sure many in the community will find ways to twist themselves into knots attempting to justify the purchase.

Although, i'm constantly amazed how many people continue to show up and carry water for EA, making excuses for the pathetic, lazy, buggy-ass mess that is the current state of the franchise.  It's really kind of wild how folks refuse to apply even the slightest modicum of critical thinking when it comes to topics we're passionate about, as if somehow stating the obvious, that MUT is less than perfect is this crime against humanity and we should all just be grateful for the steaming pile of crap.

I just checked, it's exactly EA Orlando (formerly Tiburon, before they were acquired, because why compete?) as the developer.  So now instead of one bad football game per calendar year, this same, pathetic, lazy, inept team is going to somehow crank out twice as much product?  It's almost as if EA found a way to double-dip on their investment, getting us fools to buy not only one bad, broken, buggy-ass mess of a game per year, but TWO... plus all the micro-transactions that surely will accompany (if not become the primary focus of) the experience.

I didn't go to a D1 school or anything, college football is such a mess, games are rarely competitive, IMO.  Lately it's not even a good farm-league for the NFL, definitely not for me.  I want to see the best humans on the planet compete at a high level, best on best.  The gridiron is our modern equivalent of gladiators, that's what i suit up for and adorn myself head to toe in beloved Scarlet & Gold each and every Sunday (or Thursday, sometimes Saturdays) from September until hopefully February.  But i'm sure college fatball is a great excuse to day drink on Saturdays, if yer into that sort of thing.  Or degenerate gamblers can find their brand of "fun" betting on nearly anything.

Different folks for different folks.  If i even use up a 10 hour trial on EA Sports College Football 25, i'll be VERY surprised.

I think itll be the same as madden with college teams tbh

i care more about pro football than I do college, so I’ll play madden. I have a buddy who’s a huge college fan but doesn’t follow pro so he’ll probably play NCAA. I have no idea why people think it’ll be any different (or better) than madden.

might pick up NCAA 25 on sale to take the NIU huskies to a mac championship, but who knows

EA College Football 25 based off the popular EA NCAA Football series knows that Dynasty and road to glory are the two popular modes especially dynasty and have promised the Dynasty we know with everything that college football now has. Could the game play be madden like? Certainly but they have publicly acknowledged that Dynasty is the popular mode so a fully customizable and functional Dynasty has been promised. If it works the way they have promised I wont touch any ultimate team mode for at least a few months if not the whole year. I play madden because college hasn’t existed for a Decade never liked madden much so im hopeful. Im not one to automatically discount a game for being EA.
