dawg just played 3 games in a row and each opponent exclusively ran gun bunch every single play, and then ran dollar press every single play on defence.
last opponent ran onside kick 3 times and recovered 2 of them despite me being in onside return… 3 different players, exact same offence and defence every single snap. not gonna lie, when i play these scum players it really makes me not want to play anymore. beat two of them, lost to the onside guy by 4 because he had extra possessions
Yeah it’s lame. Lot of them just copy what they see on youtube/MCS.
unfortunately it’s just a flaw in the game logic thats being exposed. its nice when you beat them despite the cheese fest.
whats worse is the 3 linemen formations that defend the run like a heavy Box set
Yeah madden gameplay is kind of terrible right now and allows bad players to win off cheese plays and bail out abilities. its bs
If you have time watch this guys content. It’s extremely helpful and you will find bunch way easier to stop
I love the noob dollar defenses. I ran for 150 yards/game vs dollar def.Inside zone,outside zone,read option... Every works vs 3 D lineman.

This is with match principles. So match is on in the coaching adjustments with default alignment. I have started using this and it’s typically bagging bunch. When I see any bunch I run default cover 9 with match. Then when the opponent is in trips or tight that‘s when I switch back to base align and run Nickel 3-3 cover 3 drop And typically man the receiver running a corner route or the rpo bubble.
This one is really good too. This is to counter players who cheese bunch offset and then audible to bunch strong. These are long videos, but well worth it. The way I see it is if you’re willing to grind challenges for long periods of time to get coins and players, then taking the time to learn how match truly works is also going to help you get more wins, coins, and cards.

When coming out against Onside Kicks, DO NOT choose the Onside Kick recovery option / play -- this will make it so that your inside player on recovery team will run to block, rather than attempting to field & recover the ball.
Perhaps try coming out in normal kick return formations, choose to USER control the back player, closest to sideline. Hope that helps. Hardly a perfect solution, but that's how i've been approaching things lately.

Madabeast with X-factor and 1AP Inside Stuff absolutely blows up most Inside Zone runs, if that fails, i typically come out in Dime, with big Vita Vea next to him and both Safeties walked down into the box, while playing Cover 4 so my DBs fill their run fits quickly. It's not perfect, but typically holds even the best toters to 4-6 yards per play, hopefully much less.
Speed Option is a real bitch, however.

Unfortunately each year you're going to see a select META and the majority of the players you face will be in that particular scheme.
When it comes to bunch, one key is understanding which bunch formation they're in to be able to set up the appropriate defense for the plays they have. For example, if they are in Gun Bunch offset, you now have to prepare for double post, whereas if they're in Gun Bunch you don't need to worry about that play.
Against dollar, RPOs do a great job of forcing your opponent to get out of the normal pinch line/A gap pressure that you see over and over again.

This pisses me off to no end. Someone running a dollar formation gets easy sheds and blows up every run, yet when I run 46 defense they take stretch plays 50 yards to the house. Somehow stacking the box against the run doesn't work... What a great game we play!
If you know that they are passing from dollar 3-2 run the overload blitz with you players overloading on the passing weakness and user the other linebacker not blitzing, I've used and played against and if you need a stop once In a while it's god tier, just don't spam it otherwise they'll adjust.
