This is the part I hated the most about power ups. In the most extreme cases the lower ovr version would sell for just as much if not more than the most recent one.

The passes were probably the best part. Wish we could get similar rewards to those nowadays.

I liked them because you can collect your favourite player thru the season.

I’m pretty sure EA thinks it’s too hard to give a PUP card to everyone in the game, even if they just have a core elite, cuz thats hard lmao.

I liked the PU cards for many reasons.

1 - You could build a 99 card for cheap just using PU passes and training

2 - The same applied to PU expansions by the end of the season or, better than that, training bypasses to LTD cards

3 - The pieces that went into the PU track could be great investments since their price could shoot up when a new higher card was released

Thank god they're gone. I hope abilities are next.

I remember In mut 22, I didn’t power up Richard Sherman bc I wanted him to wear 25 and his PU was 5 for the buccs

Honestly the power up passes were literally the only benefit of using power ups. pretty nice getting free high end cards

Dont miss them one bit! Besides power up passes giving us high end cards for free… they were such a damn coin sink. It would make certain low end cards extremely over priced because they were in the bath.. horrible. New system where every elite gets all their teams chems is much better

Yeah I didn't mind the basis of the PU cards but then the outliers were the worst, Tyreek Hill power up was consistently worth more than his main card and it sucked for chiefs TT especially because speed was so much more important in the past
