If my card has 93 awareness but requires 94 awareness to achieve film study, and I get him to 94 through a +1 awareness coach strategy cards... Why doesn't my player get that perk??

That's just how it works. A player must reach the required attributes without boosts in order to equip any ability.

Oh ok. So their overall goes up but that doesn't contribute to the perks that pass the threshold...
It makes sense coming from you but not EA. You should work for them sense these nimwits are squibbling over their own rules.
