This is the makings of a mobile game with these predatory’promos’ that consist of packs, they aint even try a hide it this year how thirsty they are for our $

Yes they always have but now grinding 40 hours a week screaming NMS wont get you as much anymore and thats how it should be. You can still grind a good NMS team its just not as easy to keep up, thats all. IMO
thats fine and all but we are now at a point in this game where it is absolutely pay 2 play when discounted abilities are here, wouldnt be so bad but the last 3 "promos" in a row have been blatant money grabs (blitz, cover athlete, and now the mixup) good free players mean squat without abilities
weplaythose said:Grinding what would be considered a "good" NMS team is gonna take like 5-7 hours a day. And very few people have the time/care to put that much time into a game.
Well just FYI. The best packs are the limited ones for 22.50$ You do as you please, im not saying buy the pack . I know its completely against peoples own rules to spend anymore than the purchase price of the game. To be honest you don't need a great team to compete but obviously it does help. I work and dont have time to always grind so my time it worth it to buy packs every now and then.

I agree. Blitz promo let us know for sure if you want more you have to pay more.

F these horrendous takes right in the goatass. There should be absolutely no such thing as pay-to-win (P2W) game mechanics, IMO... let alone straight up pay-to-play... thinking Gridiron Guardian, or many of the latest "content" drops. I'm not sure which is worse, gating content or zero-content, just cash-only pack offers. Perhaps make some special uniforms cost more or cosmetic only items from the shop, but each and every person should have the same FAIR and hopefully competitive gameplay available.
The only content we should be required to pay for would be actual improvements or extensions to the game, such as DLC... but even a calendar year isn't sufficient for EA to figure out how to legitimately improve upon the game, there's zero chance they could release a working title AND downloadable content in the same year/cycle. We're being spoon-fed the same low-effort, broken ass shit each and every year and there's somehow all these kids thinking they're special, because they/we are dumb enough to throw money at virtual playing cards? Get outta here with that weak ass shit.
You are obviously entitled to your own opinion... sure, everyone's time has value, but actual skill should be rewarded, not deep pockets. Sadly, that cannot happen, cuz EA hasn't the foggiest idea how to ensure even basic, working gameplay, let alone at a competitive level. OOF, man. I respect folks who have the balls to gamble on this shit. Imagine losing a ~thousand (or even a hundred) dollars because you decide to hike the ball and somehow it bounces WAY up into the air and out of the back of the endzone, resulting in a Safety. I wish i were kidding, but that happened to me last evening. Thankfully it was an offline, Solo Battle, but gimme a break. EVERYTHING in the game is ability dependent. Stats barely even matter.
Then again, the folks that simply throw money at the game, hoping to gain an advantage are quite often THE most satisfying victories in online H2H play. A quick scan through an opponent's ability stack is often sufficient to determine how much actual MUT knowledge a person has. It's truly impressive how many folks have more money than brains... sadly, i'm deficient in both categories. YMMV.

You know you dont have to play UT right? If it seems like pay to play then go play franchise mode or something else. "Skill should be rewarded" It is if you have a lame NMS team and win against my squad that takes skill.(Good job buddy) You get mad because you play a game where Joe can buy a pack that you cant or dont want to pay for, thats tuff titties.
nms hasn’t been too bad for me, played around the same amount as last year and i got ~7 mil on my acc
weplaythose said:Doese it feel like NMS is dead to anyone else? I'll admit I did spend a little bit during blitz, but other than that i am always NMS, and its getting ridiculous, multiple promos with no solos, h2h, or field pass. bnd rewards are awful, it was looking like madvent was going to be great for nms with getting a free pack of 3 83+ every day but now its just twitter raffles for merch and +1 boosts for cards no one uses. meanwhile its starting to seem like there is a new $50-$100 offer everyday and there will probably be no change unless something drastic happens in EA.
It is definitely a tougher grind to play NMS. I am doing that as well. I have a 90/91 team right now and about 2.4 million in coins, so I could improve my team if I wanted to, but I am being particular in the players I add. I feel there have been enough opportunities to complete the Comp Pass and Field Pass and all of the solo promotion challenges (thanks to last minute adjustments by EA). The game becomes challenging playing Head to Head against a team that buys all the best players. In support of your arguement, I am also wondering why the Legends field pass has ended? Maybe we will get a field pass with Zero Chill? It looks like we can at least get a free Mike Evans and a couple packs by logging into Twitch and watching the reveal! I wouldn't mind seeing reasonable amounts of coins as an option to purchase some of the packs, but it is others buying those packs that allow an interactive game that lasts all year long, so thanks to them!

You could live in the Auction House, but that's not why I bought the game.

NMS can build a legit team
Vick is a top mobile QB
Barry is still decent
Moss is still a top WR
Campbell and Hendricks are (2) of the best users in the game with Lurk Artist
Free MCS Mike Evans OOP will be a great safety
Captain Eric Berry is one of the better safeties
Plus you get lots of coins/packs from challenges, comp pass, etc
And with DDA, the new super cards dont play that much better than a few overall lowers
Same I'm all NMS never spent money but this year just feel worse to many normally expensive cards
EA made it clear that they dont want NMS player base. That's fine. Im taking a year off from MUT next year anyway. Greed will be the downfall of this company.
Nope. Just started the game 2 weeks ago. Been grin pretty consistently but im 89 ovr.. have a decent raiders TT. Just missing a few key players like moss(didn’t play last season) rice($$$ ltd) and Lincoln Kennedy.
been super easy for me this year. not a penny spent
After spending £55 for the game, there's no way I'm spending a single penny on anything else. If that means my MUT side becomes uncompetitive, then I'll stop playing H2H and, because the solo aspect of MUT is such a boring grind, that'll probably be the end of MUT for me. A shame but hardly the end of the world; I'll still play CFM to get my football fix and there are plenty of other games out there.
EA is only likely to care if revenue drops significantly. I hope it does. Fuck them.

I wouldn't say it's dead but imo it's surely frustrating. Personally i think oop players are fun, I wish oop players had an oop team chem to run an oop tt, but I also will never spend more than 400-500k on any card, and the only time I will is for a good limited investment or a TT card thats price still hasn't dropped after a few weeks. I also refuse to open packs that cost more than 40k, and even those I rarely do. The more programs they put out that do not offer a free way to get these cards, the more nms players will quit for sure.
