Ever since the free form mechanic came into the game I never used it and just used the classic passing but I have thought about it more and was wondering if it actually makes a big difference what do y’all think?

I was the same but started using it after a few weeks of Launch. Now I use it 95% of throws. Being able to lead passes away from defenders or in-between tight windows gives an advantage vs classic. It will take time to get used to but having the ability to spot the ball where you want can make a difference.

I agree with Eagles215 it's a big difference once you learn how to use it. You can turn a 50-50 ball into one your receiver will catch almost all the time

What settings do you use? Like passing type and the the reticle speed?

yes it makes a difference for certain pass types, I use it for some pass types, don't use it for others, it's OP for throwing to the flat, the receiver always gets a way better animation when they catch it
