I was sure getting frustrated with the EA, when they gave Dobbs the TOTW card and not Stroud. Of course the next day they came up with the Diamond Dynasty cards. and stroud is one of the champion pieces of the campaign..
The frustration this year as a Texan fan and MUT is in enlarge part due to the franchise under Bill O'Brien and Jack Easterby killing the franchise for 2 to 3 years .. We went the season with D.Watson , Who was in legal trouble and did not want to play.. Yet we still gave him his contract. A mass exodus of Watt and Hopkins and some of our key contributors. And a hire of Culley who was a QB coach in baltimore.. The next Season we had Lovie, a surprise drafted RB and an unproven QB. And we had a ton of 1 year contracts, to set up this year where the boat finally is getting turned in the right direction.
So as Mut owners, as you know... The great thing about the ebbs and flows of MUT is that if your favorite team is okay.. You usually have talent on your MUT that was once on your favorite team and maybe went somewhere else... and you're still able to make their chemistry of your favorite team.. Case example: Ed Reed.. Spent one Awful year in Houston.. Really just got a check and that was it.. Horrendous pickup in free agency for us that year. But he always has a good MUT card.. and that's a win.. Brandon Brooks for the Eagles spent time with the Texans and finished in Philadelphia... He was always great for a good card in MUT..
These franchise woes have caused almost a dirth or depression in talent.. Most of the players that came to Houston during these rocky years usually went right out of the league.. There's hardily any good cards for Texans because our team lacks history and is very young..
I'm counting on Andre Johnson, and J.J Watt.. for champion type cards.... but its just one of the years that I hope no other franchise has to go through!
