Content releases

As a newcomer to Madden, I think the content schedule is pretty good. I mean, new content like 4 days a week is pretty good, comparatively. There’s long-standing promos and shorter ones to keep it fresh. Not too bad. And I love the continued release of legends. 
 

But whats confusing to me are the player choices (and attributes sometimes). I just don’t get their choices. Look at that Division Dynasty, which were really strange. And then today, they give out a Martin Gramatica when he was in the Hispanic heritage program just recently? I know people are picking him up because of his attributes, but why not give us a different guy? I’m excited for Champ as a Broncos fan. The others today were weird, although Fridge is cool. 
 

Warren Moon so soon after his legends cards? There was the AKA Ed Reed right after he had a legends release. 
 

I just don’t get their choices. There could have been so many cooler All-Madden picks today. (The first release was pretty good).

Not to mention, the scummy approach that if you want any new releases, you have to open up your wallet. But that’s the way things are going. It’s a business, of course. 
 

I love Diamond Dynasty. Such an easy game to be no money spent and enjoy it. You can be no money spent here, and I am.  I have what I consider to be a decent team, too. Whether I could bring that team online H2H (knowing I’m not very good), I don’t know?

And, for me, looking forward to Champ. That’s a heck of a lot of coins for the 91. But I can suffice with the 88 maybe. (Which is another good thing, I guess, that they give the same player multiple price points so people can use their favorite players.

at some point it was said that  EA has  to obtain exclusive rights to  use certain inactive players’ likeness . there may be more to it than that though*

if they’re running short on older players, Then we may see lots of recycled cards throughout the year. 

that or they’re saving bigger names for the major promos down the road (harvest, blitz, ultimate legends, etc.)

If you haven't been told already or haven't figured it out already, EA is a very scummy company.

There will continue to be 3-4 content releases per week for most of the rest of year, until around June, which is when content drops become more sparse as the next version of Madden gets closer and closer.

EA gives players that already have a card (not counting base cards) a new card because...

A. They are just getting lazy or uncreative

B. They know that player will make them money

C. Both

Yeah, without going in depth and noting some irregularities, generally companies have to spend on any legend player separately. Current players are usually open for anything because of the contracts with the players association. There are sometimes different circumstances, but that’s generally how it works. Players association gives companies like EA the ability to use any current player and then legends are negotiated separately. 
 

But I’m sure they have plenty of contracts for guys that there’s no point in repeating so soon.
