Tyreek - Slot or Outside Apprentice?

I looked this up before spending training points on it...just picked up Tyreek, decided I'd spend the coins for a pretty solid deal even though I'm NMS. For some reason slot apprentice is by far the more used ability here on mut.gg? But he's my WR1 at this point, so wouldn't it make more sense to give him outside apprentice for me? I've been primarily operating out of gun trio offset and gun trio offset wk. Could sub him outside anyway so it's not too important there. Though I think by default he does line up in the slot. What do you guys think? Why is slot apprentice seemingly much more commonly used with these cards?

its not that great this year. the flag route (circle route) doesnt break man coverage like before. It goes too deep to get under cover 3. it works good against cover 2 with a flat route under it. the post is not a great angle and good corners easily cut under it. so it's just rarely worth the ap. slot apprentice however has very good routes that work from a very good spot on the field, and do beat man coverage. i'd say use slot ap and rb ap before outside ap.

Thanks for that. I do use RB apprentice with Bo, though I consider a swap to Walter sometimes. While I have a habit of trying to truck, I agree with people that elusive>power in terms of smoothness and everything. Though Bo still does it all pretty well. It's a tough call. Also, kind of disappointed in Tyreek honestly, and wishing I waited a little since Megatron dropped in price himself just a little later, and could've basically had him or Evans.

i have tyreek and i run 25 dolphins, he has 91 speed and ramsey has 90 speed for me. manipulating the defense into pressing and not having a safety over him is the best option to me. he beats press well and gets behind the cb. but as far as the posts and other stuff, he's not great. but definitely a td if i catch the opponent in press and the safety doesnt go over the top of him. just free form it as far as possible and throw a lob, never a bullet.
