Does secondary position affect anything but chems?

If I'm starting D. Ware at RE and  NOT running Cowboys TT do I need to worry about secondary position?

Some people say it makes no difference so they play CBs and Safety... Safeties at CB... LBs at DEs... DEs at DTs... swap ROLBs and LOLBS... etc.

But I've also read there's an "Awareness penalty"... so I'm not completely sure.  Whatever impact, it's likely to be small and not noticeable on the field.  That said - I rarely do any of that myself because I'm always trying to max out team chems.

Theres no AWR penalty anymore. Only thing it effects is chems
