Wr1 and slot via specialists tab. 

This way he's always on the field and I put slot apprentice on him to take advantage in 3 receiver sets.   If he lines up outside in an empty set, you can shift him in to get the slot audibles and then move him back or snap as is.   Opens a lot of possibilities.

WR2 and slot specialist to get slot slot apprentice. In my Steelers playbook, I like the WR2 routes better for his size (more streaks) and the slot routes for trips bunch ect
