Ill probably keep using RG3 until Brady drops (if he does) or a Marino, Bledsoe etc. Im a pocket passer and almost always use Brady or Marino depending on their cards timing. RG3 is far from my style but for free and while im waiting for one of them and focusing on shoring up other parts of my team it works. Hadnt even considered Bradshaw. Is he THAT good? That much better than RG3? Or just keep waiting for one of those guys?

Also someone else recommended Moon for us pocket types and while ive never tried him I remember everyone seemed to be using him in the pre Vick/RG3 days. What about him, is he still currently up there or is Bradshaw much better for that role?

Go with Moon. His release is much, MUCH better than Bradshaw's.

If your offense relies on a lot of medium throws you may want to upgrade from RG3.

Without boosts, RG3 has 83 medium throw accuracy. Based on the games code anything below 85 can lead to missed throws. Once you hit 85 you can be reasonably confident the ball will make it to the receiver.

Looking at Bradshaw and Moon the main differences are speed, throw accuracy, release, and abilities.

For speed, Moon is the clear choice in case you find yourself in a situation where you have to scramble.

Bradshaw takes throw accuracy but both meet the 85 threshold. I believe there can be some bonus for stats above 85 but it's not as noticeable.

Release there is a bit of personal preference and you may want to try both cards out before you make a final decision. Admittedly, I'm not as well versed on qb releases as I would like to be this year but mutvault gives the edge to Moon's slinger 5 over Bradshaw's traditional 2.

For abilities, Moon has access to gunslinger while Bradshaw has his special Aka pro reads. Pro reads does give you a few plays with fearless but on other plays won't have it. I give Moon a edge here as he'll always have gunslinger if you equip it.

Plus for their price I don't think Bradshaw makes up the 200k difference with anything he has that Moon doesn't. So I would go with Moon if you upgrade but you maybe able to wait it out longer with RG3 if he's playing well for you.

I was in the same boat as you I was gonna stick with RG3 cause why not right a free 87 QB. But when Vick came out and moon plummeted I grabbed him for like 180k and it’s not even comparable how much better he played than RG3. i don’t know if it’s the release or gunslinger or what but very rarely does he ever miss a pass when RG3 would regularly.  And his release on a deep ball is just so smooth.

No it's not, Moon's release isn't that good on short to mid passes. Bradshaw has the best release in the game and is by far the better pocket passer. Stop lying to this man.

Go with Bradshaw, he's the best pocket passer in the game, and it's not even close.

Great breakdown thanks for all the detail. I guess for now bc one of my primary goals is trying to upgrade from sherman to cwood and im probably more than halfway there including if i sell sherman ill try to roll with rg3 a little longer my rg3 is upgraded to 88 and on paper (not always true in practice) he seems about as good or better than moom except some small differences in a cpuple of the pac sections and throw under pressure etc. I know alot of people say moon has a great release and they say the opposite about RG3 he has one of the worst in the game, but ive never used moon so i dont know what im missing i guess. Lol

id hate to make this move and have it set me back on cwood or other little tweaks i want and regret it. Or worse yet have that happen AND then Brady/Marino some other great pocket QB come out within a week or two lol If it gets that dicey thkugh that i have to change I guess it wpuld be to Moom based on most peoples advice. Thanks again.

Personal experience isn't lying. Why would I lie?

I get it, but personal experience doesn't always mean your right.  We can agree to disagree.

Oh I know. Personal preference exists after all. Just stating what I think.

With moon going for 180k it’s really not much of a gamble. You give him a try, see if you like Him as much as we all do and if you don’t you could literally list him right back up for what you got him for or a little more and let him sit for 24 hours and he might sell. Either way depending on final sale price if you hate him it’s be a bout a 10-20 k rental. That can’t be that big of a setback. I’m telling you I thought RG3 played pretty well until I tried moon and it’s literally like night and day with how good moon is
