I ended up with this problem, and wondering how common it was. I didn't request a beta code (only have once in the last 9 or 10 years), but they sent me one, and do most years. Anyway, this was the first beta round, and lost interest with how difficult it was to see the game because of what they went though to prevent screenshots. Anyway, I never went back to it (and I didn't uninstall it). I reserved the game early (like normal), and since I wanted all the good stuff, I reserved the deluxe edition. When the game launched, I installed it, and moved on. I did notice how bad the graphics seemed (compared to what I was used to in M23), but I thought maybe it was because it was new and moved on. I didn't realize without it even asking me, it installed the previous Gen!

Through this issue, I figured out it had installed the previous Gen, and the store still didn't give me a chance to install the X/S version, until I uninstalled the Beta! Now after all the effort to get my team to level 18, and an 84 overall, including Money spent, I now have to start over, or remain on previous gen. What a PITA! anyone else had this?
Yes, same exact thing happened to me except I didn’t install beta.. I have X/S but old gen just auto installed w/o me realizing until I uninstalled - and I uninstalled because I felt like something was off.. Coincidence I just posted a Q here a few min ago about this which also coincided not receiving my 4600 preorder points. This EA forum has 31 pages now of people having the same issue as us.

Well at least I wasn't alone... This is bad, real bad, and as you see the EA rep didn't even attempt to apologize, or anything.
