Do rankings matter at this point in the year?
It was my goal for a long time to make top 100 and I finally did around May and I’ve been floating around 50 ever since.
I noticed a lot of people saying they no longer play so I’m wondering if it means the same as a top 100 ranking at the beginning or even middle of the year.
No. It's cool, congrats, but not many people left playing.
At the end of the day, top 100 is top 100. Provided top 100 is a ranking you value, it should be celebrated. Not everyone has the time or skills to make it. I know I don't.
At the beginning of the year top 100 is impressive because it means you're winning a lot of the games as the meta is being shaped. At the end of the year top 100 means you've had to have won a lot of games and probably a decent number of those were against decent players with decent teams. Both are impressive.
