Why are you opposed to it? That would help.

I would try to sit down and have a talk with your dad. Calmly explain to your father why you don't want to play football. It will help if you have legitimate reasons/concerns rather than just saying you don't want to. Give him a chance to explain why it's important to him that you play football. Offer compromises. For example, if the primary reason your dad wants you to play a sport is to be active, see if he'll let you play another sport instead.

I know this won't work with every type of parent. But I believe it's worth a try if you think your dad is willing to listen.

I don't understand all the science behind it. But all the information I've heard CTE and head injuries has me questioning if I would let any of my future kids play football.

if you’re 14+ years old you can tell him you can make your own decisions in life

you can tell him you would rather just focus on school so you don’t fail

or you just wanna do a diff sport

he probably just wants you to stay active and healthy tho and I don’t blame him

Is your dad making you play to be more active? If so, maybe see if you can compromise on a different sport to play
