It says that both work in single coverage so do they work going against ZCV? As long as there's just one defender in the area? So if I use Megatrons double me X-Factor then Does it work against ZCV? Same with the Redzone threat ability. When going against MCV your usually going 1 on 1 unless the user,a safety or double team is going against a receiver so im sure its more viable against MCV but alot of times going against zcv you'll have one defender in the area. Or do those abilities only work when a defender is specifically guarding a receiver? For instance in some match coverage ZCV plays where defenders might play mcv against a receiver? Just curious if these abilities work against ZCV at all and how viable they are?
I believe the game considers 1 on 1 coverage to be any time there is only one defender in close proximity to the receiver regardless of man or zone. I haven't looked into this much so I could be wrong.
Generally, double me is considered a bad x-factor that is not worth running. It doesn't seem to work as well as people expect it to function.
Red zone threat at least seems to work. There's definitely been times where I've seen players with it catch a pass they maybe wouldn't have without it. I still prioritize abilities that should work regardless of your field position over it like short in or route tech. But I think it's worth running even if it's only on one or two backups that get it for free.
