Played someone who would flip their play just about every single offensive play even on some runs. They only scored 6pts so its not like they lit me up but I remember hearing something about how flipping your plays could glitch out zone coverage? I do know that if you motion a wr from one side and lets say you put a wr thats left on the side you just motioned your wr from on a corner route that it can have that wr wide open if your opponent doesn't really know what they are doing in defense. What is the best way to counter stuff like this? I'll usually flip my defense or call an audible as the opponents offense settles in after flipping their play. I don't have much experience going against stuff like that and most players don't sit there and constantly flip plays 😆. I'm on old gen so I dont know how it is on new gen. Does alignment make any difference against this? For instance if you have it set in base align then will your players just stay where they are even when an opponent flips or motions a wr?
yeah if somebody’s base aligning then flipping can increase the numbers advantage. If he’s in bunch the outside routes flip rather than staying in place too, so you can call hot routes from the slot and flip them to the outside, which is really good against zone. If he wasn’t lighting you up don’t stress about it but if somebody does that from bunch watch out for a deep crosser from the solo side receiver
Flipping a play can force someone in zone to change to man otherwise a player will be on one side of the field and need to cover a zone on the other side of the field. I had this happen to me before and a good example of this was when I was running a cover 3 and the guy motioned a wr to the other side and my CB followed him so he was on the wrong side of the field and I got burned before I learned this
