Upload the picture to the internet and then click the 3 dots and then click the picture icon and put the link in the box

This may sound stupid, but how do you upload it through the internet? Is it a third party site?

usually imgur, though I have no idea how to use it myself

Imgur is easy. Just create an account and upload pics or videos. Then just copy the link and viola!
