I’m 44 years old.  My first memories of being totally hooked on football were late 80’s with Elway and Montana.  The super bowls and all the big moments.  Both were icons to me and always have been as a result.

I recently decided this will be my last year on MUT after 30 years.  I find it quite ironic but rather proper and satisfying that Montana AND Elway both are the best slinger 1 QBs (presumably) for the year.  On a personal level, that is kind of amazing and hugely nostalgic.

Any other 80’s kids feel the same way?…please share.

80’s kid here too though a little older than you.  Those late 80s 49ers teams were fun to watch

I’m right there with you my friend im 44 as well and have some awesome memories from the 80s and 90s I’ve played madden for the last 10 years with my son and have helped him with the market and getting players he told me he doesn’t plan on playing next year so it looks like it is m last year as well if he doesn’t change his mind. It is incredibly nostalgic for me because over the years I can remember some of his most exciting pulls having the coins to get him whatever player he wanted (He was the man at school with his madden squad). On a funny note I coached at his high school and it was funny all of the kids said they would beat me in madden but if you played me we had to stream it and I was undefeated against the players on the team and that strangely earned me an extra level of respect with the kids LOL one of the senior even put in the yearbook don’t play coach Trae in madden😂😂But the time we got to spend together playing madden was priceless to me

I was born at the end of 1979 and grew up in the 80's and 90's and I am so blessed to have been a part of those amazing times. From the music which was great especially the 90's to the movies like Ghostbusters,Gremlins, the Goonies...etc. I remember when the NES came out and Super Mario was huge. Playing Tecmo Bowl and Super Temp Bowl was awesome. My favorite was Garbage Pail Kids in the 80's,some are worth alot of money now. The cartoons GI Joe,He-man,Thundercats...etc. I didn't start watching sports until about 1989-1990. At least that's when I started remembering watching sports. Seeing my Reds win a WS in 1990,watching Montana get sacked and taken out vs the Giants and of course the Bulls in the 90's were something special. I'm 43 now and heaven to me would be reliving the 80's and 90's over and over. Such a simple fun time.

’78 here…

I also am drawn to the 80-90’s NFL players and uniforms in madden. I use the 80’s Giants and Eagles unis even though I’m not a fan of either team, but the nostalgia factor makes it more visually appealing for me. Plus, having LT, Cunningham, The Minister, Primetime, Alstott etc. on the same team is awesome.
Too bad madden didn’t have the 90’s Chargers uniforms this year for my TT.
