Literraly worst servers I have ever played on. Very rare I can ever control my user or call and audible or make adjustments on time.
Just not a good company and not good servers. Lose games I should not because I cant even move my players.

If youre smart, you only need 25 megs download and 3 upload for gaming. I am wayyyyy above that. EA sports has an issue

EA has terrible servers. Slightly better for new gen and slightly worse for old. always been that way. I don’t have a great wifi setup, but last night was uniquely terrible for me. I just stopped playing madden for the night and made a snack lol
Connection has been terrible of late. Went to https://www.speedtest.net/ and my results are good. Then it actually showed EA Sports as the company having the most issues on DownDetector.com in the last 24 Hours...

Over 300 outages in last 24 hours. Obviously not everyone having issues reports, so 300 reports on that website signals a big issue. I can only imagine how many have terrible lagging. Sure is hard to play a game when you cant adjust your blocking setups (especially when players a using Spinner and DB Fire 2 blitz Meta...good luck getting the pass off in time), audible, motion WR, have your QB throw on time, and actually user your players.
Hope they fix it soon and get some better technology. Thats probably wishful thinking.

EA's menus cannot even load or show the card art most of the time. I will say I have played challenges or went to practice mode and the connection is playable. Only in h2h is where I have issues with actual gameplay. The menus are usually always terrible, though. But weird that most of the time in h2h i where my issues are. Sometimes in practice mode or in challenges (when I play them) the connection is not good, but not anywhere where near how bad it is in h2h.
From what I have gathered, EA uses dedicated servers for it is not a p2p connection. So, any connection issues someone is having is on EA and not your opponent.
Also the fact people with the best internet in this world existence cant actually play the game correctly and ive read some even have just quit Madden altogether because of it?

While I do agree DDA exists, when I have a good connection I can overcome it sometimes, no matter how outrageous the circumstance is. I played MUT Champs 2 weeks ago, had a good connection for majority of games and finished top 100. About 7 games I had a bad connection or iffy connection. Very safe to say I would have won 3 of those games and finished even higher.
In that sense, I dont think giving a bad connection to someone is part of DDA. I mean, when I have a bad connection, when I view my play art, it actually stays on the screen after I release it sometimes. Also, when you have a bad connection your players are for sure not as responsive. You cant run the ball because you cant user and inside stuff just sheds immediately with a bad connection. Your DB'...the play rec is terrible. When passing, you cant user your QB or make blocking adjustments fast enough. And if you do get your blocking adjusements set, my QB will drop back and I try to step up into the pocket and it just does not respond in time and I get the "QB sucked into the blitz" animation.
But I know what you mean about DDA. Played another top 100 guy that two weeks ago. Connection was great. Very good game. Probably the best overall game I played from an enjoyability standpoint. Two good players, good connection. We both made some great plays. I ended up losing in the last minute of the game. But, it did not bother me because the game was actually enjoyaable to play for once with a good connection. Win or lose it was fun.
For as much as I complain about EA, when the connection is good the game is actually fun to me. Playing with a good connection makes a world of difference in how fun the game is. Unfortuabltly many players have bad connections. However, many do not. The way a connection to the servers works is your connection take a path to the EA servers and makes several "Stops/ports" in between. Maybe it is a regional thing?
Idk, wish they would fix it so it plays the way the game should. Actually a fun game when it is good. And...everyone complains about the menus. Literally the menus is a waste of your life. So slow....waste of time on earth. Wish they would fix that as well.

Why is my connection at least "good" in challenges and in practice mode, but I only have a "terrible" connection in H2h?
If they have dedicated servers (where you are solely connected to EA's servers and youre not connected person-to-person, so who you are playing against does not effect your connection), then it makes no sense.....Weird.
So no one here has connection issues?
