What is the meta on offense and defense now? I’m starting to play again after a few months off and want to know what to run when I play online.

I refuse to recommend meta formations. You can go on Youtube and look them up if you really want to.
Instead I would recommend finding a formation which fits your play style. If you like a dual-threat QB run game, then I would recommend pistol formations out of Ravens playbook.
I personally had a lot of success with Strong Close formation before switching to Ravens offense.
On defense I recommend Nickel 24 Formation. It doesn't leave you as vulnerable to the run as the meta Dime formations and puts you in a good position to user and play both zone and man.

Running Flash/Gus the Bus/Quadfather seems like the offense Meta, on defense it seems like running AKA unstoppable force is the Meta, like Maniac/Furious George/Groot/Milk-Man.

honestly, it’s the same as you left… maybe became a little bit more man coverage lately since that’s pretty much the only abilities they’re discounting anymore.
Abilities have pretty much stagnated since Christmas. So you’ll be fine. Only ones to really progress are QB (2-3 ap god stack), Man Coverage (shades & osa), and oline (secure protector for 0)
gets yourself some aka new class x-factors that support your scheme. You’ll be faceing them a ton, gotta have your own.

To be honest you can look on YouTube for meta plays and players to use. As someone that plays it's better to use your own style of play. Meta may work for other guys but it may not satisfy what you want to accomplish. I always just run gun empty base flex or Trey Y flex which are my two most successful formations
