This would make more sense if we talk about the top three for each style release because every release is different and everyone has their favorite...
1 slinger one (my fav) with this one it's Drew Brees all day everyday until they release someone better. He is the best one with that release.
2 slinger three - although people say it's good for the deep ball slinger one with gunslinger is just as good. There are so many good players with this release. It's highly contested who the best one is. For ability stack, it's probably Herbert. McnNair's also dope cause he auto procs UL chem for himself
3 Gen 3 - Honorable mention because so many quarterbacks have it. Cunningham is probably King dick s*** right now lol.

Honestly the top 5 I have above is more about player preference for release and play style. I'm a slinger 3 guy so I have them above along with the fact their AP is slightly better (3ap god stack vs 4-5ap). If you prefer Slinger 1 than go with Brees or Vick. Allen and Lamar are the best QB's if you don't need HRM, Allen gets the slight edge for the better ap stack. Jones is slightly worse than Lamar due to not getting gunslinger for discount, but otherwise very similar cards. Randall is really solid, same AP stack as Danny dimes and the best of the gen 3 guys, however that release has fallen off this year for the most part. Brady and Mahomes still hold a top spot to me for the ability to run the god stack, and I'd give the slight edge to brady for the better release.
As a whole this year probably has the most meta QB's we ever had which I think is great for the game and hopefully will continue moving forward.
edit: what I said about Jones vs Lamar is backwards, I mean Jones is better for ap stack. Jones QB7 Lamar QB8
