Defensive Assist

So ive been playing madden for years. Although the past few I was a casual player. 

I never noticed the dedicated button for “defensive assist” which for me is LB on ps5.

Do y’all use this in H2H? If so do you hold it along with the turbo (R2) pre snap and then just let go of defensive assist when you are ready to break off manually?

I only use it when I'm trying to make up ground with my user to a receiver.  I don't start the play holding it. Some do and hold triangle at the same time for lurks.
