Inside shade vs Short In Elite

I’ve been trying new defenses against corner routes with short in elite, and recently got Ronnie Lott fully upgraded, but he still gets fried even with inside shade. Is there a better way to get inside shade to work against short in elite?

I think you need outside shade versus corner routes... at least that's the adjustment I make pre snap.  Overthe top and outside.

I think it has something to do with Lott specifically.. I had the same thing happen to him when I had him... I don’t know if it was just him or if any safety would be that way. I say that because both cromartie and Haynes have been  absolutely lock down with inside shade.   He was fine like 50% if the time for me but cromartie and Haynes are good like 98%..

I tend to not think that is the issue because I was experiencing the same issue but I was using Lott as my slot CB Instead of up top
