SIE is single handedly the most OP ability. You can have a god squad and my 92 roddy would torch top end 95 corners because of SIE and roddy is severely outdated.
Only thing that works against it is inside shade, and not too many have it discounted, plus everyone runs pick artist.
SIE is the best counter to the man blitz metas, but its a waste against zone for the most part.
im about to be in an franchise with 31 other users, and i’m taking all my ability knowledge over from mut. SIE, edge threat/DON, etc
TheChamp22 said:I wouldn’t say better than route tech as an ability. But for 1ap is it better value than 3AP? Depends on your scheme but for most running three SIE is better. I run short in on all my recievers and one route tech. I put the route tech receiver in my slot because i have routes in my scheme where SIE doesn’t light up consistently, but with route tech it does. i find any deeper (10+ yard) routes like corners or posts do not light up consistently with SIE. I also have a receiver with short out just in case, I run an offensive scheme where all my receivers are inside the numbers the majority of the time (bunch X nasty).
I hade route tech on Calvin. in was so inconsistent for me. I'll check it out again when someone gets it for 1ap. I love short out I match it with deep out. Anyone playing man defense on my outside receiver had to use two defenders to stop his corner route.

Short in is better than route tech, in my opinion. Route tech is very inconsistent
its been a little bit glitchy
didnt even know it lit up i just slapped it on a player and went about my day

short in is great if every route you throw breaks inside 10 yards, but the glitchy part of the abilities (it lighting up on deeper routes) doesn't always fire.
I'd rather have at least one player I know will beat man no matter what (besides if they have inside shades).

What do you mean? Route tech works worse than short in vs man

not since the patch... and it seems to work better on certain players too. Rice was terrible with it. before the patch man route KO abilities would turn it off, but that doesn't happen any more. for example I with route tech it lights up no matter what, with SIE I have to smart route it down to break at the LOS, which is a problem because sometimes the LOS is 5 yards and then my corner doesn't clear the flat defender. With route tech this route always lights up and is always wide open. I've spent a ton of time in the lab with these abilities and short out, and imo you should have all of them on your field in one way or another.

Interesting. In my lions playbook scheme (I run trips, bunch, tight) not a single route isnt activated by short in. i too have spent hours in the lab, it might just be a difference in routes. But, for example, a bench out of tight, u dont need to smart route, because the corner breaks before 10 yards.

yeah exactly its all scheme dependent. I run singleback Bunch x nasty so I have a ton of different depths of corner routes and post routes. My most important receiver in my scheme is the point man on the bunch (slot) so I like to have route tech there. Solo side receiver who lines up inside the numbers unlike normal bunch has short in. then my TE has short in and my outside bunch receiver is Thielen with both short in and short out because I motion him out half the time.
I agree though I ran lions for the first couple months of the year because I was a shotgun bunch, bunch TE, Trips TE and tight player last year. I didn't need route tech any of my plays in that, SIE lit up everywhere. Now I haven't used that book since the patch so not sure if its changed.
The inconsistency is what makes man so OP. I depend on it lighting up so I’Il throw right before the break against a man spammer. When it doesn’t light it i get picked.
There’s sometimes for me it lights up and the cb runs the route for him other then that it works virtually all the time
who likes the bufflo bill's If you do plz pry because we are hoping damar is not going to die from the hit to his chess and we all are prying
Lights up every time when I play following plays:
Saints wheel spot
Mesh spot
Double slants
Put sie on all my receivers and tight end

But it is only effective against man so if you play someone in zone isn't it a waste of AP????
