(…apart from it now being glaringly obvious MUT 24 amplifies my OCD tendencies.)
I finished my second Team Diamond Master Set last week, and then realized I was doing it all wrong. For the time spent, I made few coins. I finally came to this realization:
Making the Master Set is a means to an end, but not the end in itself.
There are so many opportunities to make real coins along the way. There are many zero-risk flip opportunities (if it doesn’t sell at auction, you’ll use it in the set). However, you’ll never do this efficiently by navigating the set structure. You’ll have to learn how to filter cards and recognize opportunities directly from the Auction House menus. I was astonished at the speed at which I could find items I needed at the lowest going prices.
Just watch out for those Platinum Jake Elliotts! I thought I was getting a bargain at 50,000 coins. It’s hard to see the coins graphic on items displayed in the Companion App, and you won’t be able to use those in the sets.
