Theme teams went up to 50/50 today! +1 ACC for 45 and +1 STR for 50
I thought I was tripping for a second last night.

Noticed it last night. Wonder how much hype a 50/50 double TT would get
I feel like this is something that'll only benefit me. I haven't ran a dual or triple team all year, didn't see any real benefit. Just have to add one x2 card to get to 50.

It appears a double 50/50 Theme Team is possible now but it would be pretty limited.

You could reach 50/50 and 49/50, but one of your halfbacks doesn't have a roster spot. You'd have numerous sub-par players in starting spots as well. But you're almost there. Daron Bland would be a fifth cornerback and give you the Stocking Stuffers boosts; the Raiders really got ripped off by being assigned Gardner Minshew II in that program.
I would venture a guess that at this time, there isn't a single Theme Team duo that warrants cutting the corners you need to for the sake of a 2x50 lineup.

Don’t plan on it. I do have Minshew at backup qb for the stuffer which sucks cause it could be mystery Brady or TD Manning. Also, EA not giving Emmitt x3 chem on his new cards sucks because now I choose between the x3 chem or the 90s cowboys motivator. I do have SB jalen hurts at QB so i guess i could easily free up 3 chem but choose not to

Hurts and Emmitt are better plays for sure. Theme teams are more aesthetic than function at this point in the game.

I counted a total of 110 chems possible in a two team hybrid theme team if all of the positions allowed for all x3/x2 players to make the lineup. I had a hard time deciphering what you have here but it appears some of your numbers are incorrect. The 4 Super Bowl players get x3, Team Diamonds get x3, you can get 3 team captains x3, the 10 combine 93’s are x2, and the Free Agency Welcome Player gets x5.

It's all about how you count. I start with 52 roster spots, and add only the additional buckets on the players with multiple chemistries. When you account for the 22 players you mentioned, you get 58 chems from them, and you have 30 roster spots left. You can add up to eight Team Builders, so you can add 58+16 and subtract 8 from 30. With 74 chems racked up but only 22 guys remaining with one chem each, the best you can do is the Epic Team Chemistry Strategy Item for +4. 100.

Getting that +3 ACC is nice and all, but i basically stopped caring at 45/50. I don't feel i'm missing out on that final +1 STR. In fact, i'm not even convinced that STR does much of anything this year, including for pass rush or blocking calculations. All of our players are essentially max 99 SPD now, what more could we want? Abilities make the entire game go round.
Not sure how or why so many cards are getting hosed on the Acceleration stat this year. We've had plenty of 99 SPD players for a hot minute, but very few that also hit max 99, at least not without significant effort towards team building.
