I need some pointers on how to stop the loop blitz. I've heard that you're supposed to ID the mike for the opposite side corner where the blitz is looping and also double team the defensive end as well? Tired of the cheese blitz once your opponent realizes they can't beat you with skill!
block rb slide right blocks the loop and the engage blitz
For me, I run an inside zone play. Like it'll depend on HOW they decide to run the blitz because it can vary. But for the most part, I run an inside zone play get like 6-7 yards per play until they get out of that. Otherwise if your tryna move the ball quickly, I think a half shift to the side the player loops on will fix it too. Or sometimes I pick plays so I can roll out to a side.

There's quite a few variants of "loop" / engage blitzes which send pressure very quickly, so the ball needs to come out fast. Know your read progressions, make sure you've got Gunslinger (and Gift-Wrapped) on your QB, calling any type of Play Action pass will grant improved blocking logic, especially to help counter many (but not all) of the most popular loop blitzes. You don't even need to keep the play action to get the improved blocking, you can set up your routes however you prefer, including sending the RB out on a route.
The other advice, about double-teaming the DT, keeping your HB in to block and half sliding AWAY from the RB can often help, as well. I'm fat, old and lazy, so sick of having to set blocking on every snap, so i mostly just call Play Actions. PA Snag is a personal favorite, but use whatever YOU prefer -- making two presnap adjustments; Drag the TE and Flat the HB. Hike. Read progressions are typically right to left; 1, 2, 3, 4... hit whatever gets open quickest.
