Kinda thought they would just be listed as OT and G, and that we would be able to put them on either side. Seems as if thats not the actual case.... sad

We just talk about that. But I don't think there was any official word from EA about that change.

My guess is that the kids at EA didn’t know where the players actually played and had to google their actual positions.

I think they said in the past that they rely heavily on "pro-football-reference" so if the site says that Player X is a Left guard even if due to injury he was playing tackle or something then they will probably list him as a left guard.  (Though I also would probably trust that site wayyyyyy more then the typical arm chair qb who cant even name their favorite team's off/def coordinators)
