I won’t buy the game again if they do not fix this. Sad to spend time money and energy on this game just to lose this trash go undefeated till they spam this all superbowl what a low life … I would give EA 100$ to fix this wish that was a store offer!!!
Free yards most of the time.

I get the frustration and not excusing EA for not fixing something they know is broken...but the vast majority of the blame is on the users. Folks exploiting this issue (along with the many others) are the issue. EA can't fix people...sure they could fix the onside kick, but...those folks will find something else to exploit.
It wouldn’t be difficult to reward football IQ. Opponent keeps running the same plays and same routes? Apply a positive factor to Play Recognition, Pursuit, Man Coverage, and Zone Coverage, and with each repitition, increase the factor. Same on defense with Awareness, Run Block, Pass Block, etc.

Good idea but it will never happen. Did you watch the MCS? Those guys literally call like 1-2 plays all game, they literally couldn't play if the AI actually adjusted

There was a YouTube video that they ran 3 plays but had over 120 different route combinationa by using HRM, so it’s not really the same play.

But in the game, it's the same play when you pick it so the AI should adjust

in real life it’s down to the people who are playing to adjust.
I wonder who could adjust in a game of madden, a computer following basic code or the guy with the controller, controlling their instructions

No, absolutely not if the routes are different. I hate that while some people complain about skill gap, other people literally want the computer to stop their opponent for them

If your solution weren’t fundamentally a product of random anticipation of what side and what zone of the field your opponent will target next, I would agree with you. Mid-play player switching is nigh impossible, so your sarcastically-delivered solution is grossly inadequate.
My role as a Madden player is much more like that of a coach. I choose the personnel. I choose the play. I anticipate what the opposing team and its players will do. Unfortunately, my players are apparently all idiots, and don’t react to plays as they would in real life under the same coaching.

What I want is for my cornerbacks to shade where I tell them to shade so that they are in a position to make my opponent pay for being predictable. Correctly anticipating your opponent’s scheme is a huge tactical win in real life.
It’s hard enough to beat opponents with LTD’s and associated discounted AP abilities at every position. When my defenders won’t follow instruction, it makes the experience frustrsting.
In real life, players that don’t execute get benched, and players that continue to not execute get cut. What’s your solution for that? Madden Points?

Different permutations of routes and consequent coverages are irrelevant in this discussion, because the fact is that the hot routes aren’t chosen to make the route difficult for the individual defenders to respond to in a rational football way. They are chosen because it exploits the AI and consistently allows receivers to get wide open in a way that wouldn’t so consistently happen in real life.
I think we can acknowledge that most HRM users choose the ability because of how ineffectively Madden’s defensive AI works, not because they have a comprehensive understanding of scheme and coverage In the real life sport.
Yes, most HRM users.

Are you saying that i'm one of the people who want the computer to stop everything for me?

I’m saying the AI shouldn’t react to a completely different route combo even if it came from the same original stock play

well you obviously have your user, and so the rest of a good madden defense relies on sending pressure and guarding your opponents tendencies
