Hey guys, my brother and I recently got auction house restricted on Mut because I gave him coins through him selling overpriced cards to me so he could get the crystal saquon. We’ve been restricted for like 6 days now, and I was just wondering if anyone has gone through this as well. I know we did a bad thing and deserved the ban, but I wanted to know if we’re cooked or not for this mut. Thanks for the help!
Cooked.
If you sold an item for big profit (random buyer), you might have had a chance. But when it's a transaction from the same console, then your intentions where clear to EA so I am 98.7% sure you won't be able to overturn this.
@peatrick has great tips and a letter requesting arbitration. I recommend sending the letter via FedEx or UPS. When I sent USPS it still got lost, but that was probably 2020 or 21.

Why not 100%? You can't be more red-handed.

yeah duh it was a stupid decision my brother had made. I was just wondering if since this was a first time offense, and it’s labeled as a warning if there was any chance of it coming back, but either way it is what it is

I doubt it. You have to threaten legal action in many cases when the grounds for the ban are circumstantial and weak. They don't have a reputation for going easy on first-time offenders. You can always try.

ah I gotcha, I appreciate the help. I guess i’ll let this appeal go through and hope for the best lmao. how would I even going about threatening legal action?

Since you admitted to violating the Terms of Use, there is no conceivable legal argument to make. They sanctioned your accounts as permitted by the Terms of Use. Things would be different if you hadn't crossed the line by employing a farm account.

are you a madden rep? obviously I know what I did, that’s why I said it. I simply asked if I was cooked, if there was a slimmer of hope to have our auction houses being restored. my brother solely used my account to give himself coins to get the saquon, I understand this is wrong and i’m not expressing that I didn’t break TOS, I know I did. I was simply asking if I should just move on or not

(No, I’m not an EA rep.)
You make none of the shots you don’t take. You could try.
I understand that you can try making a new account and starting from scratch.

Unfortunately, you actually broke policy here -- without knowing the full details of the circumstances, it seems quite obvious you broke terms of service, by distributing coins. I don't liek it anymore than the next guy, but there's a TON of us who received similar auction house bans, for simply pricing and selling cards during normal market fluctuations. For those type instances, i've got a form letter we've been using to battle it out. First you "appeal" via EA no-Help, who will almost immediately deny your appeal and tell you that EA is perfect in every way and the ban will stand. From there, you'd need to print and send off a letter, via snailmail (USPS is typically cheapest) to EA Legal and request Binding Arbitration.
However, you'll have a steep uphill climb, by your own admission.

yeah it’s just confusing because they called it a warning, but either way we’ll see. it was a first offense thingy but I don’t think that matters

You can certainly try, please ignorance and hope for some mercy... either way, won't be a quick process. Starting a new account might be the best / quickest approach, but i'm in the exact same boat at the moment, restricted from AH. It will persist through the remainder of M26 cycle, but you'll be good to start fresh from your original account once M27 comes, but it's always a bitch to try and complete Rookie Premiers without access to auction house.

when did yours get restricted, and how did it?
