Moving from season 3 to 4

First time playing where seasons involved. Got game in Nov.  I am at level 57 and need 41500 to get to 58, the reward is just a star elite pack. With just meeting  mon/Tues competitive daily XP goals by playing one solo battle each day would be a few points short of level 40 which rewards 30k season XP. I can get it by doing 2 extra solo battles to get to next milestone.   Since it seems there is an overlap of a day can I just not do before end of 3 and do on day 1 of season 4 which I guess is last day on comp pass?. There's no way sadly I can max to level 60.  I also won't get 50+ day XP, I'll be at 47 days.. oh well.

Yes, it is a common technique to wait until the next season to claim XP tokens from different field passes and will count to S4 XP
