Madden 25 (Original) Was the last good Madden

I wish they would re-release the original Madden 25 with no updates except roster updates. That game was so good. Completely skill based. movement was fluid, you could win any game or lose any game and it really just depended on who played better.

Nowadays it isn't that way. The way your players feel/play can change any game, sometimes they are fast and everyone plays correctly and it is easy to win, other games they move at half speed and suck at their jobs and play like they have 0 awareness. You don't really win based off of who is better anymore, just who the CPU gives more breaks too, and who's cpu wants to play faster.

I just want to go back to Madden without Clint's stupid DDA system that doesn't even work as intended, it screws the whole game up and makes everything work incorrectly and rigs way too many games.

I mean, i guess that's the most realistic "simulation" aspect of this game, in respect to the fact that this shit is clearly rigged.  No different than the NFL, which continues to collude against the entire player-base, to ensure no more of those Deshaun Watson type scenarios happen.  Can't have this turning into the NBA, where it's a player-driven league, complete with guaranteed contracts and such.

Sadly, everything is so beyond broken and corrupt, sadly Madden is no exception to that rule.  Uff.  I'd give my left nut for a modern, simulation football title (with or without NFL/NFLPA branding) that is fair, balanced, competitive and FUN!  Absolutely ridiculous no such thing exists, but back to my original point about everything being so corrupt and broken.

The crazy thing is, they think this is keeping casual players more involved but I disagree. I think a truly competitive game would be more popular because the e-sports would be at a higher level, and the feel of the game would be a lot better. They are coasting hard off that NFL license nowadays.

The game could actually be so good if they would have just left it the way it was in the old Madden 25 days, just fix bugs and let us play. It used to matter whether or not you knew about football strategies, and how good your user is. Nowadays the CPU can supercede all of that.

I dunno. My team just gave our 2nd round rookie WR a fully guaranteed contract and fucked every other team in the league with having a record number of rookies still unsigned in July because they want fully guaranteed contracts too.

These owners need to stop being so cheap, these kids putting their bodies on the line, they ALL deserve fully guaranteed contracts. 

NIL has changed things dramatically, they're not desperate for that first paycheck and can wait for the right deal. Times are changing.

Yep, let’s take it all the way back to Madden 12, specifically MUT 12 if we are being honest… oh to be able to farm accounts all weekend long, and buy any card you wanted.. or actually challenging MUT Master that required winning games, solos, completing sets. Those were the good ol days.

To be fair, the DDA wasnt created by Clint.

But yes, most definitely Madden needs to have unchanging sliders.

I would be fine with guaranteed contracts if they were performance based.  You get x% of your contract if you hit goal 1, you get x% more if you hit goal 2, you get x% more if you hit goal 3, etc... There are too many players that get paid million upon millions and never perform.  In my idea if you sign a 5-year contract you are signed for a guaranteed 5 years but you only earn 25% of your contract each year for just being on the team.  The rest you earn based on performance.  Most people in the real world get raises and promotions based on merit, the NFL should be even more biased in that way since how you perform can win or lose your teams games.  Winning directly puts people in the seats and affects your schedule meaning how many prime-time games you get.

You'd be fine with contracts being guaranteed if they were not guaranteed, is effectively what you just said. lol

You're not wrong here, there are a LOT of players (Nick Bosa) who regularly make business decisions and decide they don't need / or want to play run defense... simply take a significant amount of plays off.  Some may be a result of coaching (or lack thereof) which has seriously hurt the culture in San Francisco, but if anyone can get the most out of this team, it's Robert Saleh.  He's a legit leader of men, but Kyle BananaHands is not.

Although, one would hope that winning is enough of a reward.  The NFL is the league of parity, ANY GIVEN SUNDAY!  However, there's still terrible owners/groups that limit the success of certain franchises.  The entire league should adopt the Green Bay Packers model, allowing the fans to become legit owners.  This is the way.
