Personally, would much rather have the spin glitch, just made the game feel that much more Arcadic, and was so much easier than speed boosting, to the point where all you needed was a big boy and your good.
You guys thoughts on it?
The spin glitch was fun and I really enjoyed it, but I will say that even though the speed boost is annoying to play against, it does require skill.
The spin was way more fun, and didn't feel like it dumbed out your CPU players as much as speed boosting does. Plus, speed boosting literally gives an unfair advantage at times whereas the spin move just made you harder to tackle at times.
It was hard to take down a user leaning into the spin move (F-word), but not impossible.
Speed boost is beyond annoying, beyond frustrating. It defies what is possible with the human body, and the game's defenders are not coded to be able to deal with it. It's a glitch, and it should have been patched when Eric Dickerson and Jahmyr Gibbs were doing it and it wasn't a tenth of the problem it is now.
We're actually comparing these two? It's like comparing a passenger jet to a military jet.
I remember when I first speed boosted on accident and I was like, wtf was that? Then the realization that after a couple more times this is gonna get exploited fo a while, great. Then the realization that it was gonna stick around as a feature. It’s just not a good thing. COD should just be that, if you want a shifty player then go for it. Shifty players should strengths and weaknesses, power players the same.
I really don’t like ignoring certain cards because they are straight up not as good as others because of a glitch / exploit. I want ti switch up gameplay strategy, go for power run up the middle with a bowling ball, or going more elusive. Or, having a receiver being able to gain tough yards vs being elusive.
Eluding defenders needs to be through skill moves and proper cuts. Not some movement speed glitch that has little to no drawback.
I was playing random squads last weekend and a guy on my squad was the best speed booster I’ve seen all year. I literally just had to hand the ball off to him and put my controller down and he’d take over. Just about every run was a score..
I say that to say I obviously know how to do it, am decent at it, but he was on another level. Definitely a skill gap there where as the spin glitch, anyone with thumbs could do it..
