Lob passes in hhm not registering?

My lob passes aren’t registering in the hhm challenges and I need to do it for the first set of challenges, any ideas why it’s not tracking, tried restarting my game and did every type of pass in the game

Change settings to "Classic Passing." Then you'll get the lob easily. Madden is maddening.

You have to tap the button as briefly as you possibly can. If you hold it down at all, it becomes a touch pass or eventually a bullet pass. What I did was put the HB on a swing route and just tap the button immediately after the snap.
