Dear [Moderator/Mod Team],
I’m writing to offer my sincerest, most dramatic apology for my recent and clearly civilization-altering use of a bad word on the forum. In a moment of intense passion—brought on, no doubt, by the emotional rollercoaster that is virtual football, I allowed a forbidden syllable to escape into the digital universe. I know that this word could have brought back painful memories for some people. Memories of being bullied being brought to the front of the mind is terrrible for anyone. I know that I have made the mods lives hectic, constantly having to read my comments for violations. I am sorry for that. I know that it takes a special type of person to be a mod, and they always have to deal with sterotypes on top of everyting else. I mean they are doing huge amounts of work unpaid. I can't imagine the dedication it would take to do that much work for no wages. I am again sorry.
For this grave disruption to the sacred peace of our Madden community, I am deeply remorseful. I now understand that while blown coverages and questionable play-calling are acceptable, colorful adjectives are where we must draw the line.
Please know that I have taken time to reflect. I’ve sat in silence. I’ve stared at a playbook. I’ve considered synonyms like “gosh-darn” and “heckin’ unfortunate.” Growth has occurred.
I have been granted the immense privilege of rejoining the forum, I vow to channel my future frustrations into wholesome, family-friendly expressions of despair. I will critique plays with the gentleness of a sports commentator on public radio.
Thank you for your time, your patience, and your unwavering commitment to keeping the internet safe from my vocabulary.
Sincerely,
A Reformed Trash-Talker
