How would you compare Mut 25 compared to last year’s Madden?

One word That would describe this year’s game compared to last year would be “inconsistency”. This years game is so inconsistent you could play one game have the same scheme on O and D. Hop into another game and use the same scheme and it would be completely different.

main issues this year:

zones dont work.

Oline blocking logic needs to be recoded, you could manipulate gaps and the oline dumbs out.

running is nerfed your oline will get shedded no matter how high overall you have on your oline.

running strides is annoying and players bump with other players way too often.

drop picks 

Defense not playing the ball and standing there.

WR not running their route 

seams are not defended properly and defense gets beat over the top even though you make adjustments (again inconsistency)

Overall: passing in Mut 25 is pretty easy this year anyone could pick up the controller and play the game. I prefer madden 24 however my biggest gripe is madden 24 was too dependent on abilities.

I’m think this is a good summary. The biggest game play difference to me is the Switch Stick. When I’m mindful of it, it improves my gameplay dramatically. When I’m sloppy, well, it’s not so good.

Gameplay - Honestly, where the game is, right now, with the ZC promo abilities, I think the game is the best it’s been in the last 2 years. There are just enough discounted abilities and attributes are to where you don’t have clunky feeling players moving around. I hate that it is all going away on the 9th.

Packs and Market - packs are beyond atrocious. I think outside of special offers, I’ve pulled 1 card this year that was worth more than its training value. (I open a ton of packs so I have a really good sample size.)

it’s ridiculous the model they have where you can have a top end team this week and in 2 weeks your team will be 1/4th of its value and your cards will be outdated. 
 

lastly, the whole ranked debacle from this last month is a joke. They swap up the requirements 3/4 of the way through the season without a word.

tldr, although gameplay at this moment is great, it will go back to being a crap game in a week.

Concerning whether you like Zero Skill or not, at least in MUT 24 I felt like I could hang with Super Bowl or ComBo as long as I was in the neighborhood OVR- and ability-wise. Right now, if you're not running almost exclusively Zero Skill at your starting positions, you will have a hard slog on offense, and you're going to get shredded on defense.

Packs. They have been worse and worse and less amount in them.

Example are trophy packs. Used to at least be 3 cards and now it's 2

I’m not a big fan of abilities taking over the game. I didn’t partake in the mutmas draft event at all. I played several h2h games to get to hero 1 but that’s pretty much it. I feel like attributes should matter more over abilities.

Switch stick was one of the good things they added but sometimes it would not switch you to the right player or the timing of the switch there would be a delay even though you enabled the no delay feature.

Too early to tell honestly, game will be completely different in May.
