How do I upgrade legends?

Recently got to level 50 and got bruce smith. I can't find a way to upgrade him to get cheaper abilities might be a dumb question. Can anyone help out?

You have to get the Full legend then buy all of that specific legends cards to power them up think Smith is 93, 91, 89, 87 and the power up
